Valentines and Soccer Balls!

February means time for Valentine's Day and that means it is time to party! I was off work and went to both kiddos school parties this year (a first)! One child willingly let me take pictures, while the other one (Mr. Tude) would not even let me take the camera in the building!

Haze sitting at her table with her buds eating cupcakes!

February also brings new adventures to the Clayton household. We have officially become a soccer family! Grayson's team has not started, but Haze had her first game, bright and early (8am on a Saturday, whoo whoo) and was selected team captain for week one! She didn't have a clue(none of them did) as to what to do, but she looked cute and had a smile on her face the entire time!

Truth be known, Saturday morning at 8, wasn't that bad! I am certain we will have lots of soccer pictures to follow in the next few weeks. Fortunately, the season only lasts 6 weeks....I can do it!

Another new past time in our home......playing possum! I snapped this picture of the two of them "sleeping" recently because it is just too funny how they will pretend to be asleep to get out of doing chores or cleaning or anything they don't want to do! I am pretty certain that they learned this from their momma!

Little Man turns 4!

Gray turned 4 on January 21st, and chose to celebrate at Jackson Prep on "da biiiigggg football field." Having an outdoor party in January in Mississippi is pretty gutsy, but amazingly, we were worring about the heat and humidity rather than the cold and rain!
It was a gorgeous day and ended up being a lot of fun.

The scoreboard was lit up in all "4s" and the scrolling message.....

We all lined up on Lane 4 for a jog around the track....

Then a surprise introduction of the birthday boy over the PA system....

His entrance on the field via the 50 yard line....

To be further surprised by some REAL football players!!!!

These players were wonderful to the children.....showing them exercises...

Leading them thru drills....

And letting each one score a real TOUCHDOWN!!!!!

Birthday cake....

Presents in the back of Joe's truck~

The whole crew!

In case you can't tell, this day was PERFECT! We love that little boy!!!!

2012 Begins with a Bang!

I cannot even believe that I am three months behind on this blog...three very BUSY months! I vow to catch up and have made a promise to myself that I will update this year at least once a month. The start of 2012 marks the half way point of kindergarten for Haze and Grayson is turning 4! They are both doing exceptionally well in school. Kyle and I are very blessed to have two healthy, kind hearted, smart, adorable children!(if I say so myself)

Kindergarten Katch Up

So our first full month of Kindergarten is behind us and boy have we all had fun! While Haze has to wear uniforms to school, most Fridays are dress up days as something for the "letter of the week."

"G" week....gorgeous, glamorous, girly, girls!!!!!

"C" week...Camo (with a frill, of course)

"D" week....denim..I made it until she was 5 11/12ths before she wore denim...and then we did skinny jeans with a Boden top!

And here we are everyday....pure innocence and sweet as can be!

A Day in the Country 2011

Kyle's busy season at work has started, so the kids and I decided to make the most of a gorgeous Saturday fall afternoon and headed out to A Day in the Country at Chapel of the Cross with Sug and Joe.

The day was filled with face painting, horse riding and the ever popular petting zoo.

Much to my surprise (and delight), they still love the train ride too! They are growing up so fast!

Attending this fall festival is one of our favorite Clayton traditions because it is held on the grounds of the church where Kyle and I were married. It is always so much fun to return to see where it all began!
