Gray had an awesome first birthday party! C.C., Nana, Sug & Joe, Dee Dee & Big G were all here, as well as, Aunt Amy, uncle Drew & Aunt Taylor and Caroline, and a handful of our closest Jackson friends.

Gray had the cutest birthday cake that was inspired by his party invitation. The baker even made him his own oversized cupcake! He LOVED it! Blue icing was EVERYWHERE. I think we will still be finding it this time next year!

We are blessed to have two healthy, wonderful children and thankful for everyday we have with them.

First Real Haircut

Kyle and I loaded the kids up this morning and took Grayson to see Miss Jonelle to have his first real haircut. He did a great job only squirmming a little bit and looks like a big boy with his new doo!

Happy 1st Birthday Grayson Kyle Clayton!

His birthday party isn't until Saturday, but tonight Sug and Joe came over for a mini-party to celebrate Gray's actual birthday. Joe handmade a rocking chair just like the one he made for Haze and for me when I was a little girl. Sug painted it blue and white. Gray loved it and proved once again that he is all boy by rocking it way too hard and fast for me!!!!

We sang Happy Birthday and ate cupcakes. He was pooped and didn't care for the cake, but ate every bite of ice cream we would let him have!

You know who was there to help her little fella out every step of the way. She sang to him and try to explain how to blow out the candle. He just smiled and kicked his feet with excitement the entire time she opened all his presents. Her attention was the greatest gift he could have hoped for! He is crazy about her and he is growing on her! I hope it lasts because they are too sweet when they play together.

Gray is Walking!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I have said for months that two steps didn't count, but five steps does! Gray officially walked today.

And who did he walk to.....Elizabeth Haze....and why did he walk.....to get a hold of her milkshake! I have often said that my parenting motto is "whatever it takes" and once again that motto got us through!

So this weekend he climbed all the way upstairs for the first time, finished cutting 11 teeth and today officially walked all by himself....He will be one tomorrow and I don't know where the time went. He seems so little, but he has come so far. We had no idea how much our lives were lacking until he came into it. He has brought such joy and has made our love and family multiply in ways we never imagined. Happy Birthday Lil' Fella!

Almost 1 and over 20 pounds....

Gray will be 1 this Wednesday and weighs 22 pounds so he is able to sit in a front facing car seat now! You should have seen the smile on his face as we rode around town today! He didn't know what to think and Haze thought it was the neatest thing ever (we will see how long that lasts)! I took this picture about 30 seconds before he zonked out!

Candy, candy and more candy!

We don't keep candy around our house, but we have a little boy that can somehow find it anywhere! He can sniff it out, unwrap it and crawls in a corner to eat it because he knows that he shouldn't have it. If it weren't so dad gum cute, I would think we had a HUGE problem! Notice in these pictures that he has two different color suckers on the same day! And, no, I didn't let him eat either of them.....but taking them away was the hardest thing I have had to do to him so far!

Fearless!

I cannot even begin to tell you how high this bouncy thing was, but Elizabeth Haze and all of her friends scaled it with ease! A picture is worth a 1000 words...and these say it all!

Little Man!

He can only take two steps, but he now has 11 teeth! Well, almost! He is cutting 3 more teeth....all on the top and they are HUGE! He is in a lot of pain, but he is a little trooper! I can't believe he will be one in 10 days!!!!!!!!

Spencer's Wedding

Uncle Billy is so silly! Gray loves him, Haze won't go near him!

My cousin Spencer got married this weekend at a Louisiana Plantation. It was absolutely beautiful there. The kids were wonderful. I told EH that if she were really good, she would get to see a prince and a princess kiss and live happily ever after. She did not move a bit or say a word for the entire ceremony, but oooed and ahhhed the whole time. She was in total 'la-la land.' Gray was a doll too. He was his typical self and sat still through the whole thing with no problem!

Gray's New Truck

There is something about a man and his first truck! Gray loves the dump truck that Sug & Joe gave him for Christmas. He gets so excited laughing while he plays with it that his lips disappear! There is the biggest difference in boys and girls that starts from birth. He is so strong that he can push Haze around the house on it when he can't even walk by himself yet! It is amazing; she weighs over 35 pounds!
